This October, Manchester’s spirit was on full display at The Great Mancunian Lunch, an exclusive charity event hosted by Emma Neville, organised by Taylor Lynn Corporation (TLC), and held in support of the Moya Cole Hospice.
Set against the striking backdrop of Victoria Warehouse, the afternoon brought together Manchester’s most generous and creative minds to raise funds for the new Moya Cole Hospice in Heald Green.
Guests enjoyed a three-course lunch, live performances from the talented young musicians of Chetham’s School of Music, and a warm, uplifting atmosphere that blended Manchester’s trademark creativity with heartfelt community spirit.

A Meaningful Mancunian Celebration
The event’s goal was clear: to raise vital funds for the Being You Centre at the new Moya Cole Hospice. This dedicated space will provide counselling, complementary therapies, and wellbeing support to people across Manchester living with life-limiting illnesses.
In total, an incredible £40,000 was raised. Host Emma Neville spoke about the importance of community and compassion at the event:
“We have a chance to make a difference for those who are facing some of the toughest challenges of their lives, bringing them greater comfort, care and dignity,” said Emma. “By coming together at the lunch, we were able to raise funds to go towards a consultation room at the hospice that will provide a calm, comfortable, and welcoming place for the people of Manchester and their families.”
Bringing Manchester’s Spirit to Life
From the bold black and yellow “smart chic” dress code to the creative performances from Manchester’s aspiring talent, every detail of the event was curated to reflect the city’s personality.
As always, TLC brought its signature touch of creativity and precision to the event. Founder Liz Taylor said:
“I’m thrilled to be part of The Great Mancunian Lunch and to support the incredible work of Moya Cole Hospice as they create their new state-of-the-art building in Heald Green. It’s always inspiring to collaborate with such passionate people — Emma Neville, Truth Creative, and Chetham’s School of Music — all coming together to celebrate Manchester’s spirit while supporting such a vital cause.”
Highlights from the Day
A silent auction added excitement to the afternoon, featuring incredible prizes including:
- A signed Courteeners guitar and four VIP concert tickets
- Original artwork by acclaimed artist Aiden Phelan, from his “George Best: 20 Years of Immortal Legacy” series – generously donated by Aiden and Calum Best, who attended the event.
Later, the celebrations continued with an after-lunch party, where guests moved to a private bar area for live sets from DJ Six, alongside late-night street food served in true Mancunian style.
A Lasting Impact
Anne-Marie Wynne, Head of Fundraising and Capital Campaign at Moya Cole Hospice, said the event’s success will have a lasting impact:
“The support of everyone at The Great Mancunian Lunch is vital for the future of the hospice. Once again, the Taylor Lynn Corporation has been instrumental in helping us raise essential funds for our new state-of-the-art building in Heald Green. We are so grateful to Emma Neville, TLC, and everyone who joined us for their generosity and commitment to making a difference.”
As Manchester looks ahead to the opening of the new Moya Cole Hospice in 2026, The Great Mancunian Lunch stands as a shining example of what happens when creativity, compassion, and community come together.
