Looking for Christmas office party ideas that go beyond the traditional three-course dinner? Start by thinking less about what you’re serving and more about how you want people to feel. No one remembers the chicken.
TLC founder, Liz Taylor has been saying it for years. Because when you think back to the best parties you’ve ever been to, chances are you don’t remember exactly what was on the plate.
You remember how the room looked when you walked in. The song that got everyone onto the dance floor. The thing you weren’t expecting. The person you ended up talking to all night. The moment everyone was still laughing about on the way home.
You remember how it made you feel.
And that thinking is at the heart of Christmas at Tatton 2026.
Christmas office party ideas have moved on
There will always be a place for a beautiful Christmas dinner. But the best Christmas office party ideas now go much further than dinner at a table and a DJ afterwards
We think the best Christmas parties should feel like experiences. They should give people permission to switch off, get involved and enjoy themselves. They should create conversations between people who might not normally speak. And there should always be something unexpected around the corner.
So this year at Tatton Park, we’re doing things a little differently.
Welcome to Après Ski – without the flight
For six nights this December, Tatton Park will be transformed into an immersive Après Ski-inspired Christmas party.
Forget boarding passes and ski boots. Guests will step into an Alpine-inspired party atmosphere filled with music, entertainment, festive food, drinks and plenty of surprises. And rather than creating one “wow moment” and calling it a night, we’ve designed an evening where things keep happening.
A roaming magician here. Live sax there. A photo booth. Percussion. A brilliant track from the DJ that suddenly fills the dance floor. It’s those moments that make a party.
Food that gets people talking
And yes, of course the food matters. But it doesn’t have to mean everyone sitting down for three courses. Christmas at Tatton features festive street food, sweet treats and interactive food stations, including an exclusive Italian interpretation of Alpine-inspired dining from San Carlo Group.
Guests can explore the food, move around and mingle rather than being tied to a seating plan. Because the Christmas party should be one of the rare occasions when the person in finance ends up dancing with the MD and nobody talks about spreadsheets.
Give people something to talk about
If you’re searching for Christmas office party ideas, that’s perhaps the best place to start: what will your guests actually remember the next morning?
After more than 30 years creating events, we know that the smallest details can often have the biggest impact. People love discovering things. They love being surprised. And they love feeling as though someone has really thought about their experience.
That’s why Christmas at Tatton combines full Après Ski theming with live DJ, sax and percussion, a roaming magician, photo booth, food experiences and entertainment throughout the night.
We’ve even thought about the journey home, with complimentary return transport to Manchester city centre available subject to availability and advance booking.
Your Christmas party, sorted
Festive Party Nights take place at Tatton Park on 10, 11, 12, 17, 18 and 19 December 2026, running from 7pm until 1am.
Tickets are £90 per person including VAT, including an arrival drink, drinks on the table, festive food, entertainment and the full Christmas at Tatton experience.
There are also Festive Sunday Bottomless Brunches on 13 and 20 December, priced at £65 per person.
So this Christmas, you could book another turkey dinner. Or you could give everyone a story they’ll still be telling in January. We know which we’d choose.
Because no one remembers the chicken.
