Social commentator and TV presenter Lizzie Cundy and Emmerdale favourite, Lisa Riley, are joining the celebrity panel at a special lunch to celebrate International Women’s Day, to be held at the five-star Lowry Hotel, Salford on March 8, 2024.

At the event, host, and Loose Women favourite Ruth Langsford, will share with guests a blend of light-hearted stories and personal anecdotes from the panel’s very public lives and careers, alongside exploring how they have each fought individual discrimination to rise to the top of their professions.

Lisa and Lizzie join Loose Women regular Brenda Edwards, Celebrity MasterChef winner and television presenter, Angellica Bell, editor-at-large and broadcaster Rosie Nixon, and musical theatre star Jodi Prenger.

The ‘Liz Taylor and Friends’ event takes place on March 8, 2024, at The Lowry Hotel from 12.30pm – 4.30pm and includes a drinks reception, three-course lunch, half a bottle of wine per person, and guest speakers. Tickets are £100 per person. To book or for more details, please email events@tlc-ltd.co.uk

“My female contacts jumped at the opportunity to fly the flag for International Women’s Day. It promises to be a fabulous day infused with strong views around life, laughter, work, and family. We’ll also tackle the very real issues in our communities that International Women’s Day challenges.” says organiser Liz Taylor, CEO of the Taylor Lynn Corporation

“I think whether you come along because you are motivated to take a stand against the stereotypes around women in business and society, or you want to be inspired and entertained by the personal journeys of our celebrity guests, this event has something for you.”

Ruth Langsford added: “The day is an occasion where women can come together, share our stories and, we hope, contribute our voices to shaping a more equal future for women.  Of course, with this particular panel of ladies – I don’t think there will be any topic off the table!  Each of these fabulous women brings their unique, passionate perspectives and thankfully, they are not afraid to express them. So, be prepared for a very lively lunch!”

Adding her support, Lizzie Cundy said: “I have never wanted to conform to the stereotype of how others thought I should behave, what I should say or the path I should follow. I wanted to carve my own way and be my own person, and I came to realise that didn’t mean that I couldn’t be a success. So, my message at the lunch will be clear: define yourself, live your own life and stay true to your ambitions. Stereotypes are there to be broken!”
